Homework Surprise

I had a very surprising sightsinging homework experience. Sometimes, our teacher will assign our class to class call him and sing in solfege or what not. Usually when we call, there's only an answering machine and we just leave a message. Today nearly shocked me. I decided to be a good nonprocrastinator and call my teacher early (right after lunch) and when i called he picked up the phone. That surprised me so badly that there was a pause when he said "hello?"

phone: ring ring

me: -in my mind- okay i'll say: Hi Dr. _____. This is _____. -insert solfege practice here-

3 seconds later

dr. c : HeeeeeeeLLO?

me: O_O; uh... -3 second pause- Hi Dr. C, this is ______. I was going to do my call me assignment. Is that okay?

dr. c: well, sure I'm ready (and some other stuff that regarded my past homework mistakes in minor key solfege)

-silence-

me: -not sure when to start then randomly starts- -insert solfege singing here-

dr. c: well that was good. You get a 95!

yeahh that's kind of how it went. I know i screwed up on one of the last 3 notes of the solfege practice T^T

It's finally Friday! ^-^ i have been so tired this week and just KO-ed on my bed every night. Yesterday, our whole dorm was forced to wake up at 6:12 AM since someone pulled the fire alarm = =;. We all had to stand out in the freezing cold to some fake fire. (i could smell smoke, but i don't think it really was a fire).

yesterday was also my first time performing in studio class. I don't think I played very well because I sped through almost the entire piece (Bach Presto). I think it was due to nerves. Also, many things i worked on such as my bow hold didn't come through. Hopefully it won't happen again next time and I can play through the whole piece.

today i finally felt ready for college (something i shoulda done 3 months ago) but i don't know why. it's like i put everything i had into a past memory box and am now looking forward to the future!

church bazaar~

Our annual church bazaar was held today. I'm glad I came home this weekend and finished my FIRST COLLEGE MIDTERMS since there is so much going on (church bazaar, festival in park behind my house, etc).

Anyhow, this year's bazaar was special, not because they did not have boba tea, but because I won a raffle drawing for the first time in my life (i don't count my 5th grade class raffles). My prize was a basket of dental supplies-- so now, I have a ton of toothpaste, 3 different kinds of floss, 2 toothbrushes (electric and normal) and a bunch of other teeth-related items. My friends dahlia and henry from high school came as well ^-^. Nana returned from college for the weekend >:D oh so many people showed up it'd take a long time to finish listing them all. Twas cool hanging out with them and everyone

Other things that day: i saw my friend's parents at the nearby newly-opened 99 ranch market. :( i miss that friend as well~
